In times of crisis, rapid action is needed to take control of a situation. Some measures seem logical, others too hasty. They would normally be weighed more extensively than seems possible within the fast development of current affairs.

In the battle against the coronavirus epidemic, several governments have already deployed new surveillance tools that will change our future perception of privacy. But what happens to a world population that gets increasingly accustomed to governments interfering with their private medical data? Where do we draw a line when it comes to proposed technology solutions? And do these solutions give us more security or are they just political instruments? When do we still have the feeling that we have something to lose and what is it that we would actually lose?

After reading this article, we decided to go a step further and share the most intimate part of ourselves with the world: our heartbeat. Sensible by our body as an indicator of security and safety, measurable by machines that promise us a better future.
